Description
The Syntace P6 Carbon Hi-Flex now offers twice the shock absorption capabilities in the riding direction as previously. Without loss of riding control and with improved oscillation damping and directional stability even when drifting around corners or when hitting harsh ruts. In comparison to the previous P6 Carbon the comfort has once again been improved noticeably while also providing a bob damping mechanism for full suspension bikes.
FEATURES
- Impact absorption
- Damped oscillation
- Precise angle tuning
- High adaption range
- Long supporting surface for the saddle frame
- Carbon fiber head being connected to the full carbon tube
Fore and aft adjustability of saddle
What use is a strongly backwards swept seatpost head, if the seat rail clamp only allows a very limited backward adjustability of the saddle?
The only truly meaningful approach goes as follows: how far can I move my seat rails backwards measured from the front edge of the seatpost until the front bend of the seat rails dead stops on the upper part of the seat rail clamp.
Like this, we could consider the front edge of the upper seat rail clamp as the rearwards adjustability limit. Conversely, the rear edge of the upper seat rail clamp could be considered as the forward adjustability limit.
Instead of believing fairy tales, please compare yourselves as to what is really the case with your seatpost. The specification of a setback (adjustable range CENTRE) is about as useful as the wheelbase with reference to the trunk length of a car. The wheelbase can of course influence this, but does not define it. The specification of the setback (the clamping range from the centre backwards) would only be a useful and comparable specification of the adjustability, for example backwards, if all seatposts on the market had the same upper seat rail clamp. Unfortunately this is not the case. Upper clamps range from 28 - 60mm and hence a specification based on centre is completely useless for the end result.
Can oval shaped seat rails be used with the Syntace P6?
Yes, oval shaped seat rails up to a height of 11mm can be used.
Please check, that at maximum angle adjustment, there are still 6 threads (6 mm deep) inside the bolt anchors. If this is not possible for one of the two clamping bolts, you will need to order following instead of the original M6x30 P6 TitanScrew: M6x35 (Part number: 103627) and Syntace half bolt anchor (Part number: 112155).
